Can’t get it to work

After 20 mins it made slushy but now the top won’t stay locked on it keep popping off after it’s lock on

 Only work once, and I contact the company for replacement. There’s not a replacement if there’s more than 15 days.

This thing barely works. I almost want to return it but it feels like it would be more of a hassle than anything. It KINDA works. Maybe just have to work the ratios of ice, salt, and water out better to get it right. I just hope it doesn’t break before I figure it out. Seems like some very crucial parts should be made of metal rather than plastic.
